Guido is often laid back and chilled, except when competing with Speedy in matters involving Lucile. The opening song
describes him as 'A wild romantic rover', and he is seen making passes at girls quite often in the series. He has a rivalry
with Speedy, which settles down a bit in later episodes, mostly because they were competing over Lucile, and by then she had
become Speedy's girlfriend.
'I don't care what you do to me, Speedy, just leave the tree out of this!'
Guido has a high level of confidence, especially in his physical appearance. In the Japanese version he always entered the
battle stating 'In this way, I shall punish the shadows of evil, with this handsome face!' He also tends to use exaggerated
body language, when hitting on Lucile in the first episode.
'Show off? Me? Nah!'
Guido's main weapon is the Samurai Sunspot Umbrella/Parasol of Doom. Whilst not as powerful as Speedy's Ginzu sword, the Umbrella
has the widest range of attacks, such as trapping rings, hypnotising powers, and heat beams, as well as being an effective
clubbing weapon. He also has a sword that he uses to take out standard ninja crows quite regularly. Standing on top of his
open umbrella, he can use his sword to use his finisher- A wave of blue fire. In the Japanese version, this attack was called
'Ichimonji Fire' which means 'Straight line/Bar shaped fire'. It wasn't given a name in the English version, so fans tend
to make up their own names for it, such as Fire Line etc.
'Its to to get down and get fun-kay!'
Guido also leads the cats durring the occasions when Speedy is unavailable.
Near the end of the series, Guido mentions having a brother who may be in charge of a hotel or restaraunt, saying 'We
can hold the reception at my brother's place! I wonder how much he'll charge me?'
'Speedy has fallen! Pizza Cats- Follow me!'
His Japanese name; Sukashi translates as 'Showoff'which is quite fitting, when you consider his ego. His Nyanki callsign;
Nyanki Ni Gou translates as Nyanki Number Two.
