Big Al is a Samurai Bulldog who alerts the Pizza Cats to the Big Cheese's schemes. He is the only member of the Little Tokyo counsil who knows of Seymour’s villainous double life. However, without evidence, he is unable to bring the evildoer to justice.

Typical of a Bulldog's nature, Al is unquestionably loyal and fiercely protective of the Royal family. While he doesn't take part in the Pizza Cat's battles against the Ninja Crow's robots, he does stay close at hand to Emperor Fred, and is willing to risk his life to protect him.

His palace duties, as well as captain of the royal guards, include leading cleaning operations, where he uses somewhat unorthodox motivational methods such as announcing 'Last one finished goes for a paddle in the piranha pool!'. He is also a chaperone to Princess Vi, and is insistent of her to do well in her studies.

Al is often quick to berate the cats for their screw-ups, and one time he became so tired of their blunders, that he temporarily replaced them with the Rescue Team. However he can sometimes be understanding of their personal problems, and often comes off as a father figure.

'Wanko no Kami' his Japanese name comes from the barking noise that dogs make. His Western name is pun referring to a method of cooking pasta, such as Spaghetti Aldente.
